For the first time in 52 years, a championship was brought home to the city of Cleveland when the Cavaliers made history as the first team in the NBA to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA Finals. They did it on the road, and did it with the best player on the planet having one of the best three game stretches in league history.
So, what does this mean for the legacy of LeBron James? Can we finally stop bashing his greatness? And, what does this mean for the historic regular season achieved by the Warriors before coming short of a second-straight championship? Does losing in the Finals take away from their regular season accomplishment?
These are all great topics for Part II of our NBA Finals discussion and were posed to this week’s guest, NBA writer Josh Eberley (you can listen to “Part 1” with Coach Nick of BBALLBREAKDOWN here).
